Inevitably when we pack to go on holiday we will forget something we wanted to take with us! This is extremely annoying and mean shelling out extra cash at the airport when really the money could be better spent on enjoying yourself on holiday!

A good way to stop this from happening to you is by writing a list. A good way of writing the list is to carry it around with you for a day, that way you can write down everything you need in an average day.

The main items we tend to forget are typically the items that we really need such as phone chargers, first aid items and our cameras! We need these items particularly our camera- after all we want to remember our holidays!

When packing it is important that we are aware of the restrictions that airlines tend to be placing upon us particularly where baggage weight is concerned. With the average weight allowance being 15kg that does not leave us with much to work with.

Lots of people are now purchasing their toiletries and sun creams inside the airport terminal after security in order to get the most out of their suitcase allowance.

The liquids situation at UK airports states that no liquids with a volume over 100ml ca be taken in hand luggage (before security.) We can of course purchase toiletries etc with 100ml and upwards volumes after security check in.

Top items to remember/ usually forgotten items

Phone charger

Hair Straighteners

Contact lenses solution/ glasses

Camera/ Camcorder

Sunglasses

European health card (replaced E11form)

Although taking a camera on holiday is great for providing us with memories a camcorder can give us real experiences and can tell our friends and family more about our holiday than maybe we can, as the small details are there to see. Whether it is aHD Camcorder, digital camcorder or a mini dv camcorder this piece of equipment will allow you to keep your memories of your holiday fresh.

When I first thought about Tenerife holidays, I immediately thought of loud bars and nightclubs, stag and hen parties and just general mayhem – After holidaying there several times, I now realise that it has a lot more than this to offer holidaymakers of all ages.

Tenerife is a volcanic island, hence its main attraction being Mount Teide – the volcano. Teide is open to visitors all year round and is located in the North of the island, along with the resort of Puerto de la Cruz. I visited this resort for the day and was pleasantly surprised, although more suited to an older clientele, it had nice beaches and a big tourist attraction called the ‘Loro Parque’, which is a bird/animal park that really does make for a great value day out.

Further South, you can find the resorts of Los Gigantes and Las Caletillas along the East coast, which make for a quieter, more relaxed holiday with little fishing harbours and cafés to unwind.

Golf del Sur is another popular resort, only a 5 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport. This has been a firm favourite for years, with golfers originally, but has now grown into a popular tourist resort for all age groups. There are several golf courses nearby and many more further South in Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje.

Along the Southern-most coastline, you can find 3 resorts that interconnect with each other. Los Cristianos, home to the major harbour ferrying visitors to and from La Gomera, is again a versatile resort suitable for people of all ages. A ten minute walk will bring you to Playa de las Americas – the firm favourite for clubbers and partygoers! Although it can get lively, steer clear of ‘The Strip’ and you’ll experience a nice resort with a great beach and many cafés, bars, shops and restaurants.

Now to my personal favourite! Costa Adeje – A relatively new resort, which houses many new 4 and 5 star hotels. There’s a man-made, sandy white beach in Costa Adeje, with a brand new shopping centre, promenade with exclusive little cafes, bars and restaurants. Although only a ten minute walk further on, you’ll feel as though you’re a world away from the hustle and bustle of Playa de las Americas. A lovely place to visit for a quiet, rather upmarket holiday.

In the last 10 years, Romania recorded a huge increase in every domain. Multinational companies invested a lot of money and built headquarters in Bucharest. People travel a lot inand out of the country and now renting private cars ( alongside of the public taxis ) is a common fact.
Genneraly rent a car companies are hired by multinationals, so they can have confidence that their employees or VIP`s will get in time in any place without having trouble. This relation between rent a car companies and multinationals is based on peer trust.

Besides multinational companies, rent a car companies are also appealed by foreigners who come to visit
Romania. There are some rent a car companies with experienced chauffeurs with advanced studies and a guide’s license who can easily give you a dream tour of tourist attractions, cities and sites in Romania. People rather preffer instead of going on a tour with a coach and other 40 people, renting a private car and make their own itineraries.

And now…
Why should you rent a car at Bucharest’s airport?

Bucharest has 2 airports, one for both international and domestic flights and one for domestic flights only. ( Otopeni airport and Baneasa airport)
There are no means of transport from the Otopeni airport ( situated at 11 km away from the city north entrance) except public taxis.

A few years ago, there was a big scandal between taxi drivers, which had negative results for people ariving at the airport. Many of the taxi drivers then were forced to quit their job, and they now stay “undercover” in the airport asking everybody who come out if they need a cab. They fool everybody asking a lot more than a normal price, and they are rude and unpolite. The security aren’t capable of doing anything because they’d risk another scandal.

So, you would have two choices for an airport transfers. These guys, or the company with public transfers
with forced the old taxi drivers to resort to this. ( also with very bigh prices). Also, if you somehow manage to get in the city, public means of transport are dirty and unfriendly.

If you want to avoid any trouble contact a private Rent a car in Bucharest company and a con sedan ( or limousine at your request ) will wait for you in the VIP parking space. Also the driver will wait for you at the arrival gate with a banner with your name.
